We are solution-oriented true 3rd Party Inspectors

Home & Stucco Inspections was established to fill the need for objective, 3rd party, experieced Stucco Inspectors and Moisture Intrusion Specialists in Athens, Valdosta, Tifton, Atlanta, Augusta, and all of Georgia, in both Residential and Commercial Buidlings. Most "Stucco Bond" companies do all their own initial inspections, their own repairs, and their own followup inspections, and then write and process their own "Bonds" which is really just a guarantee on their work. This is all done "In-House". Does anyone see a conflict of interest here?! And, Shouldn't they back up their work anyway, without you having purchase a Bond?

And then there's the "small print".... Many Realtors, Sellers, and Purchasers think they are protected with a Bond, only to later find out the small print contained exclusions, requirements, and extra expenses they weren't aware of when they we had to use the warranty. At Home & Stucco Inspections, our mission is to offer 100% unbiased, true 3rd party, honest, data-backed inspections and to assist our clients by offering our extensive expertise throughout the  process and beyond. If after our thorough, scientific analysis, our clients desire extra protection, we can refer them to the industry's most reputable, true 3rd party Stucco Warranty Company.

Overstated, misleading, alarmest-type Inspectors are a serious problem which can leave a homeowner discouraged, spending thousands on unneccessary repairs, and/or with the lost sale of their home. On the converse, unqualified, inexeperienced Inspectors with a moisture meter but limited knowledge on stucco or the underlying causes as well as the remedies for moisture intrusion can mistakingly leave the unsuspecting Home Owner with a bottomless "Money Pit" or many sleepless nights of wondering if their home is  disentigrating with each rain storm that passes through, or even putting their family's health at risk from the mold which can often go undetected for years!

Home & Stucco Inspections uses the latest technology coupled with more than 20 years of construction, stucco, mold, home, and commerical building inspection experience, as well as hands-on real estate experience to provide the most accurate evaluation possible. Using industry approved and time-tested techniques, we can assess moisture levels and verify any suspected damage to the home's wood structure.

Part of the damage assessment is made by the Inspector's "unseen feel" of the wood structure behind the stucco surface probing in discrete locations of the structure. This technique can't be taught in the classroom, but is only acquired through extensive hands-on knowledge and experience gained in the field over a period of thousands of inspections.

Home & Stucco Inspections strives to be a Leader in the field of moisture inspections and testing. We want you to feel confident in our moisture intrusion assessment, and to feel assured that you have been presented with a completely unbiased, throrough, accurate and objective inspection report

Did you Know???
Georgia Does Not require a Home Inspector to be licensed or even qualified???
According to the Georgia Trade practice act (Chapter 3, Title 8) enacted in 1994. "Georgia law requires home inspectors only to provide written documents (some type of "report") containing certain information with regard to inspections. This written document must include the scope of the inspection, including the structural elements and systems to be inspected, that the inspection is a visual inspection, and that the home inspector will notify, in writing, the person on whose behalf such inspection is being made of any defects noted during the inspection."

Although not a requirement in GA, David J Smith has passed the National Home Inspector licensing exam. Scroll over the link below to verify:

"I have used David Smith for a formal Dryvit inspection as part of a house sale twice, once in 2009 and again in 2013. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and never cuts a corner. The things I learned as a result of the first inspection were invaluable in caring for the Dryvit, making the correction of inevitable small problems much easier for the second inspection. As the familiar ad says, 'These guys are good!"
